Our client now has an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join their team based in Sunninghill, close to Bracknell, to lead the development of the whole School's Marketing Strategy.

The Role: As Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in continuing to build the reputation and profile of the School, to help ensure that it continues to be the preferred choice for parents and girls in the area. You will play an integral part in delivering a first-class understanding of the school's market and, using this knowledge, you will develop and drive an innovative and effective marketing and communications strategy.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the marketing strategy set by the Executive Leadership Team
  • Managing the marketing budget
  • Managing all aspects of Alumnae engagement
  • Devising the annual promotional activities schedule
  • Pro-actively identifying and creating media opportunities locally and nationally
  • Maintaining and growing relationships with appropriate media outlets
  • Co-ordinating open events and assisting with key school recruitment/retention events
  • Monitoring and pro-actively managing the school's website
  • Reviewing all pupil, parent and staff facing communications to ensure that they deliver the School's consistent brand messages
  • Pro-actively planning, editing and writing content for a variety of internal and external publications
  • Being the guardian of the school brand and ensuring consistency across all media including print, off-line and digital channels

The Candidate: As Marketing Manager, you will be the guardian of the school brand and a champion of marketing and communications, ensuring a consistent tone of voice in all external and internal communications. You will have an astute awareness of brand development and positioning and be able to spearhead opportunities that social media gives for innovative marketing activity. You will also have experience of building support from different audiences, developing opportunities to foster and improve links with the local community and stakeholders. Expertise in market segmentation is vital in order to deploy analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategy, as is the ability to analyse the effectiveness of marketing and communications initiatives.

Essential Candidate Criteria:
  • CIM qualified
  • Marketing management experience in a busy and varied role
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple projects to agreed timelines and within budgets
  • Excellent experience of all round marketing skills
  • Strategic planning and budgetary management
  • Excellent IT skills - previous experience/knowledge of content management systems
  • The ability to deploy and appropriate communication style to different audiences
  • Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work occasionally outside routine hours for significant school events
