Demand Planning Manager - Permanent Position - London - Transport & Logistics


To support the development of modern, continuously improving public transport systems that fulfil customers' needs, generating economic growth by connecting businesses, communities and people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide the secretariat to the cross-industry oversight group, ensuring that the group has a focused forward programme of work that supports the delivery of effective investment plans.
  • Working with industry stakeholders, support the development of a long term vision for the future, drawing on wider industry and government strategies.
  • Influence the industry planning process so it takes appropriate account of economic, political, social, technical and environmental concerns and takes a whole-system view of the sector.
  • Develop good working relationships with national, local and regional stakeholders including transport bodies.
  • Co-ordinate responses to consultations engaging as required with colleagues and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop policy positions on planning issues, commissioning research and analysis as required.
  • Represent us at senior level meetings presenting positions with credibility and authority.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Degree, qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience in the economics of demand planning.
  • Understanding of appraisal and forecasting methodologies.
