LOCATION: Winchester, Hampshire (will involve occasional travel throughout Winchester and to London)

JOB TITLE: Internal Digital Communications / Marketing Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP31,527 - GBP36,350 per annum dependent on qualification and experience plus benefits including 15% pension contribution & 25 working days plus Bank Holidays (or a day off in place of a Bank Holiday worked)

WORKING HOURS: Full Time (35 hours per week Monday to Friday)

THE COMPANY: The Diocese of Winchester is not only the people, churches and schools that make it up, but also an organisation that supports those communities and governs the Diocese.

Founded in 676AD it is one of the five senior dioceses of the Church of England. The Diocese consists of about two thirds of the County of Hampshire and most of Bournemouth in the County of Dorset, excluding Portsmouth and the area immediately to its north and north-east.

They now seek an experienced Internal Digital Communications / Marketing Manager who has proven experience of working in the field of communications and digital marketing methods to join their existing Internal Communications team based in Winchester, Hampshire.

THE ROLE: As an Internal Digital Communications / Marketing Manager your main focus will be to work closely with the Chief Executive and the Communications Consultants to develop a comprehensive internal communications strategy to promote the diocesan vision, strategy and mission outcomes through a range of digital communications, online & offline marketing and social media to grow and maintain the organisations online presence.

You will liaise and work closely with a range of internal and external partners to develop clear stakeholder mapping, helping to differentiate and understand the different groups and segments of our client's audience, enabling more effective differentiated messages. You will be responsible to lead the diocesan brand and style guide, ensuring a clear and consistent brand runs through all publications, reports, digital communication and films. You will also oversee all diocesan publishing and regular mailings, as well as managing the relationship with external providers where production and design work is outsourced which will require effective relationship building and occasional travel to meet with partners in London.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate must have proven experience of working in the field of Marketing & Communications, and/or must have a relevant qualification ideally to degree level. It is essential you have suitable experience in a range of digital and offline marketing & communication strategies including social media, a range of offline publication method's, and also film & video. As the post holder will be required to travel about the diocese and also to meet with partners based in London, sometimes outside usual business hours and to remote locations so candidates must have access to own their own transport and be able to commute to these locations. You should be an adaptable and flexible individual who can juggle a range of different tasks, is someone who is not afraid make recommendations to improve practices, can meet deadlines when under pressure and be someone who has a natural inclination to act as part of a team and work towards achieving team goals and outcomes.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Internal Digital Communications / Marketing Manager's role in Winchester, Hampshire :-

- Must have a related degree level preferably or must be qualified by experience and have experience of working in the field of Marketing & Communications
- Experience in a range of digital and offline marketing & communication strategies is essential
- Experience or the ability to work with internal and external partners and build/maintain effective relationships is essential
- Must have own transport and be able to commute throughout Winchester (can be rural locations) and to London occasionally to meet with partners
- Adaptability and a being able to take flexible approach to your work and tasks is essential
